Lakers take two from Eagles

CEDAR RAPIDS — After dropping two games to Kirkwood on Saturday, Iowa Lakes rallied on Sunday to take two games from the Eagles.

The Lakers only managed two runs in losses of 8-1 and 9-1 on Saturday.

However, the Lakers out-scored the Eagles 10-4 in wins of 5-1 and 5-3 on Sunday.

In the first win, Kenny Domek went the distance and had three strikeouts while giving up five hits.

At the plate, Edgardo Aulet was 2-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.

In the second Laker victory, Marcos Lozano earned the win while Isaias Rosario earned the save.

Jose Ayala was 4-4 with three runs scored and Adalberto Rivera was 3-4 with three runs and an RBI.

Iowa Lakes (11-9, 3-5) is scheduled to play the Buena Vista JV on Wednesday in Storm Lake.
