By Staff | Apr 10, 2008

Iowa Lakes jumped out on top in game one with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Five more runs in the second made it 9-0 with RBIs by Ochoa, Manser, White and Camiel Salcedo.

A single run in the third and three more in the fourth made it 13-0 and that would be more than enough for the Iowa Lakes pitchers as Aly Bowers and Jamie Sorensen combined for a two-hit shutout.

Salcedo was 3-3 with two RBIs, Ochoa 2-3 with three RBIs, Manser 2-3 with two RBIs, White 2-2 with one RBI and Sorensen 2-2.

Iowa Lakes got a first-inning run in game two with hits by Andy Hacker, Ochoa and Manser.

The Lakers made it 6-0 in the third with a two-RBI double by White and a two-run home run by Emily Reimers.

Ochoa drive in her fourth run of the day with a single in the fourth to make it 7-0 and and RBI single by Salcedo in the sixth would end the game at 8-0. Aly Bowers came back in game two and got her second win of the day with a seven strikeout one hitter. Ochoa was 3-3 with 1 RBI, Manser 2-3 with 2 RBI, Salcedo 2-4 with 1 RBI, and Hacker 2-3.
