Tigers win on ELC’s course

The Estherville Lincoln Central boys golf team lost to Spencer and Western Christian in the Midgets’ first home meet of the season on Monday.

Spencer won with a 153 followed by Western Christian with a 180 and ELC with a 183.

Spencer’s Craig Cunningham took medalist honors with a 36 while teammate Jay Monahan was runnerup with a 38.

ELC was led by Matt Brown with a 42 followed by Nathan Spoo with a 45, Mat Radig with a 46 and Matt Anderson with a 50.

Non-counting scores were a 52 by Tyler Lutz and a 53 by Travis Kilpatrick.

In junior varsity play, Spencer won with a 184 followed by Western Christian with 197 and ELC with a 22.

ELC was led by 54s from Austin Swalve and Mike Gebel while Caleb Caboth and Tyson Eggers each carded 57s. Non-counting scores were a 61 by Braxton Dahl and a 64 by Tyson Enerson.
