ELC girls shoot season low score

HULL — The Estherville Lincoln Central girls golf team celebrated good weather with good scores in a Lakes Conference triangular meet on Tuesday.

Led by runner-up medalist Macy Milburn’s 50, the Midgettes turned in a score of 220.

“It was a real breakthrough night for us,” said ELC coach Kevin Richardson “Macy shot a season low and as a team we shot 220, which is 25 strokes better than our last dual meet. Taylor Heinrichs shot a season low 54 and did a really nice job as a freshman.”

Rounding out the scoring, Paige Evans and Julie Wilson both shot 58s.

“As a team, we are really making progress and getting or scores down,” the coach said.

Non-counting scores were a 60 by Megan Woods and a 64 from Jordan Jacobson.

in the team scoring, Spencer won with a 198 led by medalist Emily Holck with Western Christian finishing with a 253.

In junior varsity action, ELC shot a 273 to Spencer’s 249.

Haley Dalen led the JV with a 61 while Beth Christensen shot a 67, Kyrsten Fitzgerald carded a 71 and Anna Bruns had a 74.

Non-counting score was Tracy Fay with a 75.
