Willard to pursue wrestling at Iowa Lakes

Iowa Lakes Community College’s newly formed wrestling program has announced that Grant Willard, who will be attending Iowa Lakes this fall, will walk-on and pursue a wrestling career.

Willard, who will be wrestling in the 141 pound weight class, is from Okoboji and has a career high school record of 107-48. At Okoboji High School he was a two-time sectional champion, a district champion and a conference champion.

Iowa Lakes signs No. 1 wrestler

Iowa Lakes Community College’s newly formed wrestling program has signed Brian Moreno to an NJCAA national letter of intent in preparation of the college’s first official season this fall.

Moreno, from Santa Ana, Calif., is ranked No. 1 in the nation in the 112 pound weight class by USA Wrestling Magazine. He has a high school career record of 205-17 and is a three-time state and national champion. At Iowa Lakes, Moreno will look to move up and wrestle at the 125 pound weight class.
