Mustang golfers compete in Cornbelt meet

SPIRIT LAKE — The Cornbelt Conference girls golf meet was held Monday at Okoboji Vu Golf Course in Spirit Lake.

Armstrong-Ringsted sent just three golfers to the tournament so didn’t have a team score.

Megan Sanders had the low score for the Mustangs with a 133 on nine-hole rounds of 65 and 68.

Nicole Johnson carded a 140 on rounds of 72 and 68 while Mercede Larsen carded a 151 on rounds of 74 and 77.

North Sentral Kossuth’s Jayna Blome earned medalist honors with an 18-hole score of 91 with Twin River Valley’s Amber Streit taking runnerup honors with a 98.

Twin River Valley won the conference with a 488 followed by Harris-Lake Park with 476, North Sentral Kossuth with 484, Woden-Crystal Lake-Titonka with 498, west bend-Mallard with 512, Ruthven-Ayrshire with 535, Corwith-Wesley Luverne with 558, Ventura with 487 and Clay Central-Everly with 628.
