SIOUX CITY — The Spirit Lake Park/Okoboji soccer team took Sioux City West to double overtime, but the hosts pulled out the 1-0 victory.

“It was a great game,” said SLPO coach Yvonne Taylor. “The teams were well matched.

“Shelby Rohlf moved back into midfield from striker to help out when Ellayna (Wiedow) and Libby (Rodawig) left the game with injuries.

Lauren Chapman and Rohlf each had one shot on goal.

“Molly Hutchins, another of our awesome freshman goalies, had 22 saves,” said Taylor. “Since Libby got hurt we have rotated three freshmen goalies throught the varsity goal and they have all been outstanding.”
