Knights run at Cornbelt
ARMSTRONG — The Graettinger/Terril track teams picked up a few points at the Cornbelt Conference meet on Tuesday.
In the girls events, Amanda Kropf finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 91 feet, 3 1/2 inches and sixth in the shot put with a throw of 30 feet, 3 inches.
Also Lindsay Flaharty finished fifth in both the 100- and 400-meter dashs in 13.55 seconds and 1:09.36, respectively.
In the boys meet, G/T’s Dillon Thiner finished sixth in the 400-meter dash in 57.81 seconds.
“It was a good showing for the kids that we did have,” said G/T coach Karlton Hector. “We were short a couplebecause of illness. We are looking forward to getting healthy and to see what we can do the last couple of meets before districts.”
