ELC runs at E’Hawk Relays

EMMETSBURG — Whether it was running a second meet in three days or just looking ahead to the Lakes Conference meet, the Estherville Lincoln Central girls track team didn’t have its best effort at the E’Hawk Relays on Thursday.

The Midgettes did get a top finish from Emily Jensen in the 400-meter dash as she clocked in at 63.60 seconds and the junior placed second in the 800-meter run in 2:34.46.

Unofficially, Brittany Ross finished second in the 1500-meter run in 5:27.63.

The 4×800-meter relaylay team of Jensen, Ross, Brooke Egeland and Halli Winter placed third in 10:41.92.

Also third was the distance medley team of Taylar Jacobson, Brenna Wegner, Landra Lapka and Winter in 4:43.92.

Wegner took third in the 200-meter dash in 28.42 seconds.

Beth Larscheid finished fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:41.

Also, Kyleigh Watkins placed sixth in the shot put with a career best throw of 86 feet, 4 inches.

ELC hosts the Lakes Conference meet on Monday.
