ELC, Spirit Lake golf teams end seasons

STORM LAKE — The golf seasons for both the Estherville Lincoln Central and Spirit Lake boys teams ended at the Class 3A Sectional meet in Storm Lake on Friday.

With only the top two teams and top four individual advancing, Spencer led the way with a 314. Carroll was a distance second with 339, but both advance to the Class 3A District Meet in Carroll next week.

MOC–Floyd Valley finished third with a 341 followed by Storm Lake with 344, Spirit Lake with 348, LeMars with 355, Sergeant Bluff-Lutton with 366 and ELC with 377.

ELC was led by Nathan Spoo who shot an an 83 on rounds of 40 and 43. Matt Brown carded a 90 with rounds of 53 and 47 while Tyson Eggers had a 104 with rounds of 54 and 50.

Caleb Caboth finished with a 105 on rounds of 50 and 55 while Adam McCarthy shot a 110 on rounds of 56 and 54.

Spirit Lake was led by Matt Weeks with an 82 on rounds of 43 and 39 followed by an 87 from Jack Lorch on rounds of 44 and 43. Alex Will had an 89 on rounds of 48 and 41 while Jack Johnson shot a 90 on rounds of 46 and 44.

Non-counting scores were a 94 from Andrew Ingvalson on rounds of 45 and 49 and a 101 from Casey Early on rounds of 52 and 49.
