LEMARS — Graettinger/Terril sophomore Cody Dyhrkopp saw his season come to an end at the Class 1A district golf meet in LeMars on Friday.;

Dyhrkopp carded an 82 to place six strokes away from the top five state qualifiers.

Hinton’s Nate Freed took medalist honors with a 74 with Harris-Lake Park’s Nate Bruggerman and Hinton’s Cory Westphal each shooting 75s while Aurelia’s Greg Kolpin and Newell-Fonda’s Conner Juilfs each shot 76s to round out the state qualifiers.

“It was a very challenging course,” said Cody’s dad and coach Brent Dyhrkopp. “It was a good experience for Cody against great competition on a tough course.
