Mustangs fall to Bulldogs

ARMSTRONG — After giving up five runs in the first inning, the Armstrong-Ringsted baseball team came up a couple runs short in an 8-7 loss to Lake Mills on Tuesday.

The Mustangs cut the deficit to 8-6 with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, but only pushed across one run in the seventh.

At the plate, Dillion McBride was 3-4 with a home run and RBI.

Ethan Eisenbacher was 2-4 with two RBIs and Travis Hantelman was 2-4. Also, Tyler Tonderum was 1-3 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base.

McBride took the loss. He pitched five innings, striking out four batters, walking four and hitting four. he gave up eights hits and eight earned runs.Logan Anderson pitched the final two innings. He gave up one hit and struck out one batter.
