Knights fall victim to Wolverines

By Staff | Jun 17, 2008

TERRIL — Tied 2-2 after two innings of play, Graettinger/Terril suddenly began struggling on defense as West Bend-Mallard picked up its offense.

The Wolves came up with a couple runs in each of the next five innings and pounded out 17 hits overall for a 12-2 win on Friday.

“We struggled offensively too which was very frustrating,” said G/T coach Jana Hector.

The Knights had just three hits on the evening, one each by Lindsay Flaharty, Leah Flaharty and Tasha Neilson. Leah had an RBI.

Malori Girres took the loss. She struck out three and walked none.

G/T (3-3, 3-8) were at Harris-Lake Park on Monday.
