Indians fall in eight to Orabs
SHELDON -Spirit Lake played Sheldon close, but came up short against Sheldon in a 6-5 eight-inning loss on Wednesday.
“We played really well the last four innings,” said Spirit Lake coach Joleen Brown. “The top of the line up hit the ball hard and did a good job of putting the ball in play. It was fun to see how we are capable of playing softball during the last four innings because that is how softball was meant to be played.”
Megan Ingvall was 3-4 with a triple, two RBIs and a run, Alli Gerking was 2-4 with two runs, Kaisha Brown was 2-4 with a double and two runs, Caila Jones was 1-4 with a triple and two RBIs and Briana Brunsvold was 1-3.
Mary Brown took the loss. She gave up 11 hits while striking out six batters and walking four.
