ARMSTRONG – The Armstrong-Ringsted softball team’s offense took a couple innings to get started, but when it did West Bend-Mallard couldn’t stop it on Friday.

The Mustangs recorded eight of their 13 hits in the third inning to score nine runs on the way to a 12-1 victory over the Wolverines.

The game ended on a walk-off two-run home run by Amy Leach in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Leach, coming off a perfect game on Wednesday, earned the win as she struck out five batters, walked three and gave up six hits.

At the plate, she was 2-3 with four RBIs, and Logan Evans also had four RBIs as she was 3-4.

Morgan Grabinoski was 2-4 with two RBIs and Brianne Gonzales was 3-4.

A-R (18-3, 10-2) wraps up the regular season in a make-up game against Ruthven-Ayrshire on Monday.
