Mustangs hold off Generals

LAKE PARK – Armstrong-Ringsted picke dup a non-conference win with an 11-10 victory over Sibley-Ocheyedan at the Lake Park Tournament on Saturday.

The Mustangs led 9-2 before the Generals put together six runs in the fifth inning.

After both teams scored two runs in the sixth inning, starting pitcher Dilliion McBride only faced four batters in the seventh to earn the win. McBride gave up nine hits, five earned runs with three strikeouts, five walks and four hit batters.

“It was nice to see him settle down after a couple of rough innings,” said A-R coach Ryan Luedtke.

At the plate, Tyler Tonderum was 2-5 with a triple and four RBIs, Logan Anderson was 2-5 with a double and two RBIs, Spencer Clausen was 3-5 with an RBI and Craig Tigges was 1-3 with a double.

Defensively, catcher Craig Tigges threw out two runners.

A-R (8-11, 6-6) hosts Pocahontas today.
