Midgets’ defense still solid in 12-0 loss

By Staff | Sep 9, 2008

The Estherville Lincoln Central Freshman Team fell behind 12-0 to Spirit Lake in the first half, but fought the Indians to a standstill in the second half with neither team scoring. The Indians won by that score on Monday. According to coach Jeremy Zeigler, the ELC defense stepped up three times on the goal line to shut the Indians out. The second half the Midgets got the ball rolling, but just couldn’t put an entire series together. “The team showed great improvement in the second half,” said Zeigler.
