Knights face first unrated foe
GRAETTINGER – After three weeks of playing rated opponents, the Graettinger/Terril football team finally gets a little break taking on unranked Harris-Lake Park today.
However the Wolves were a playoff team a year ago.
“They have guys just as talented as we’ve seen this season,” said G/T coach Karlton Hector of H-LP.
The Knights got off to a rocky start again No. 3 North Sentral Kossuth a week ago. After falling behind 20-0 by halftime, Graettinger/Terril outscored the Eagles 12-6 in the second half.
“It’s encouraging to know that we can play with those type of teams,” said Hector. “But to beat them, we need to play all four quarters.”
Like most teams, the G/T coach said the Wolves have good receivers and a good running back.
“They like to pound the ball, but they can throw too,” said Hector.
The coach hopes his team learned from mistakes last week against the Eagles.
“Some players we’re trying to do too much,” he said. “We just have to make sure everyone handles their assignments.”
