A-R blows away Wolves

ARMSTRONG – The Armstrong-Ringsted football team bounced back from last week’s loss with an easy 65-0 win over Harris-Lake Park on Friday.

Ridge Christiansen rushed for one touchdown and three for two more in the victory. Tyler Tonderum rushed for three touchdowns and caught one of Christiansen’s touchdown throws.

Tanner LaBore caught the other two passes for touchdowns.

A-R opened with a 35-point first half.

Christiansen scored first on a 14-yard run and then on a 32-yard strike to LaBore. He had a two-point conversion pass to Cody Hantelman.

Tonderum then ran for a touchdown to complete the first-quarter scoring. In th second quarter, Christiansen and Tonderum connected on a 57-yard pass and then Christiansen found LaBore again on an 11-yard strike.

In the third quarter, Tonderum scored on runs of 2 yards and 37 yards. Spencer Clausen scored on a 34-yard run.

Dakota Odermann wrapped up the scoring with a 1-yard run.

A-R had 261 yards on the ground led by Tonderum with 91. Christiansen had 82 yards rushing, Odermann’ had 37, Labore 15 and Travis Hantelman 2.

Christiansen was 3-of-6 passing for 100 yards.

Tonderum had the one catch for 57 yards. LaBore had two catches for 43 yards.

Tonderum had six tackles while LaBore had five and Christiansen and Craig Tigges each had four.

A-R (5-1, 4-1) is at Ruthven-Ayrshire next Friday.
