STORM LAKE – Still seeking the first Lakes Conference win, the Estherville Lincoln Central volleyball went to Storm Lake with high hopes on Thursday.

The Midgettes had taken again against the Tornadoes at the ELC Tournament this past weekend.

However, ELC struggled on this night.

“We did not pass the ball well, so we couldn’t get the ball to our setter and get our offense going,” said ELC coach Tyler Johnson. “We got down on ourselves quickly and things went down from there.”

Storm Lake swept ELC by scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-10.

Kelsie McCauley had five kills while Kaylene Vos had nine assists.

Taylor Larson was 14-of-15 from the service line with two aces.

In junior varsity play, ELC lost 21-16, 18-21, 15-10 to Storm Lake.
