SPENCER – The Algona/Estherville Lincoln Central girls swim team dropped a double dual to Spencer and Storm Lake on Monday night.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Missy Zadow, Jenni Weaver, Hanna Degen and Kendall Bosch swam their best time of the season and took first against both Spencer and Storm Lake with a time of 1 minute, 58.78 seconds.

Bosch also placed second overall in the 100 butterfly and the 200 individual medley, which she set a new team record with a time of 2.33.59.

The 400 freestyle team of Lauren Boggess, Degen, Liz Humble and Debbie Weideman took second from both Spencer and Storm Lake in a time of 4.58.93.

The 200 medley team of Zadow, Weaver, Degen and Bosch placed second against Storm Lake with a time of 2:18.21 which was 5 seconds faster than the previous best time of the year.

“This was a good meet for us as we had several times come down including Liz Humble in the 200 free dropping 3 second off her time and Kendall setting the record plus the relay teams dropping time,” said coach Jim Fisher. “When you can take off that much time this time of the season that means the girls are working hard.”
