ARMSTRONG – Perfect defense wasn’t enough for the Armstrong-Ringsted baseball team as the Mustangs’ bats were mostly silent in a 6-1 loss to North Iowa on Thursday.

A-R had three hits compared to the 13 by the visiting Bison.

Defensively, the Mustangs committed no errors and neither Spencer Clausen or Brett Thackery gave up a walk. However, North Iowa did come up with 13 hits.

Clausen pitched five innings, giving up 10 hits while striking out five batters. Thackery pitched two inning, giving up two runs on three hits with two strikeouts and one hit batter.
