GRAETTINGER – The Graettinger/Terril baseball team missed several opportunities to score in a 6-4 loss to Ruthven-Ayrshire on Wednesday.

Coach Corey Boe said while his team drew 11 walks, Knight batters also struck out 11 times.

“the walks are good, but the Ks take them away,” he aid. “We need to put the ball in play to score runs. We had the bases loaded three times with one out, but couldn’t get anything.”

Boe was pleased with his pitchers which gave up just two earned runs. However, defensive errors proved costly.

“We need to start cutting down on the errors to help our pitchers,” Boe said.

Tyler Dalen pitched four innings, giving up six runs (two earned) on four hits with four strikeouts and five walks. Cody Dyhrkopp pitched three hitless innings, striking out three batters and walking none.

At the plate, Taylor Harris was 2-4 and scored once. Tanner Gunderson was 1-4 and scored once and Beau Craig was 1-4.

G/T (0-6) is on the road against Twin River Valley today.
