Knights play best vs. H-LP

GRAETTINGER – The Graettinger/Terril baseball team had its best outing of the year-a 12-2, six inning victory over Harris-Lake Park on Wednesday.

“We came out and hit the ball right away,” said G/T coach Corey Boe. “We played great all around.”

Boe said his team had seven hits in the second inning with six of them going for extra bases-four triples and two doubles-to score seven runs.

Cody Dyhrkopp earned the win on the mound. He pitched six innings giving up two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and no walks.

Taylor Harris had the hot bat, going 4-5 with two runs, two RBI and a double. Mitch Girres was 2-3 with two runs, two RBI and two doubles. Dyhrkopp was 2-4 with two runs an RBI and two triples. Tanner Gunderson was 2-3 with a run, an RBI and a triple and Dalton Park was 2-4 with two runs and an RBI. Also Blaze Alesch was 2-4 with a run, an RBI and a triple. Colin Leiting was 1-4 with two RBI and a triple while Jeremiah Andrews was 1-4 with a run and an RBI and Quinn Parker was 1-1 with a run.

“Cody pitched a great game and his defense helped him out a lot,” said Boe. “The innings were quick so we weren’t standing out there long.”

The Knights travel to Corwith today and then play at Lake Park next Monday.
