LEMARS – The Spirit Lake softball team dropped its final two games of the Lakes Conference season to LeMars on Monday.

The Bulldogs took game one 8-4 and shut out the Indians 9-0 in game two.

In game one, Allie Gerking and Emily Mercer each went 2-4 at the plate.

LeMars’ Erin Kamines was the winning pitcher.

Cara Vale took the loss on the mound.

In game two, Paige Krause and Emily Mercer each were 1-3 at the plate.

Spirit Lake (7-27) travels to Milford to take on top-rated Okoboji for the first round of the Class 2A playoffs on Thursday.
