Laker soccer keeps teams scoreless

The Iowa Lakes Men’s soccer team traveled to Minnesota over the weekend to take on Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Bismarck State Technical College.

After playing both matches, the Lakers continued to remain undefeated after beating Anoka-Ramsey 3-0 and Bismarck State Tech by a score of 3-0.

Iowa Lakes (3-0) has yet to allow a goal this season while scoring 14 total in three matches.

Nine different players have scored goals already this season.

Against Anoka-Ramsey, Iowa Lakes had 18 shots on goal to just six by the hosts.

Against Bismarck College, the Lakers had 39 shots on goal compared to just two by Bismarck State.

Goalkeeper Stats: Tucker Stellinga played 90 minutes. No goals allowed and 2 saves.

Goal Scorers: (1st Half) Alex Toay scored in the 30th minute; assisted by Willy Kappie; (2nd Half) Patrick Gikundiro scored in the 58th minute; Willy Kappie scored in the 85th minute.
