FENTON – In a battle of two top 10 teams, No. 6 North Sentral Kossuth came out on top over No. 9 Graettinger/Terril 38-22 on Friday.

The host Eagles got on the board first and led 8-0 after one quarter of play, but the Knights didn’t take long to tie the game.

On the first play of the second quarter, Cody Dyhrkopp completed a two-yard pass to Colin Leiting. Drew Skattebo ran in the two-point conversion.

But NSK scored the next 16 points and led 24-8 at the break.

The Knights worked to get back in the game as Nate Howard returned the opening kickoff of the second half 70 yards.

However the Knights two-point conversion attempt failed as they trailed 24-14.

That was the score to start the final frame, but the Knights were outscored 16-8.

Howard scored on a two-yard run and then ran in a two-point conversion with 6:02 remaining.

G/T (2-1, 0-1) returns home to take on Harris-Lake Park next Friday.
