Mustangs eke out win over Bison

ARMSTRONG – Bri Gonzales had 20 kills, 23 aces and four ace serves while Megan Sanders had 11 kills, 24 digs and seven ace serves in Armstrong-Ringsted’s 3-2 win over North Iowa on Monday.

The Mustangs fell behind 2-1 with the visitors taking game one 25-15 and A-R coming back with a 25-20 win in game two before dropping game three 25-21.

A-R won the fourth game 25-21 and kept enough momentum to eke out the fifth game win, 16-14.

Taylor Grabinoski had a team-high 17 set assists and also had seven kills and 14 digs. Tess Christiansen had 13 assists and two ace serves. Carrie Sorensen had six kills and 11 digs.

The Mustangs served well, converting 92-of-98 with 14 aces.

A-R had even blocks on the night with Sorensen and Lindell each recording three.

The Mustangs (4-8) is home with Twin River Valley this evening.
