GRAETTINGER – The Graettinger/Terril Knights got it done by land, by air and if possible they would have got it done by sea on Friday night in a 48-8 route of West Bend-Mallard.

The Knights moved the ball methodically in the first quarter before Nate Howard broke off a 7-yard run to the right side with 5:25 left in the period. The PAT by Eric Hatland split the uprights, giving G/T a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, the flood gates opened as Howard found pay dirt from 22-yards out with 11:51 remaining.

Drew Skattebo scored two touchdowns of his own before the first half came to a close. The first a 6-yard run with 9:06 to go and the second a 5-yard touchdown, giving G/T a 27-0 lead entering halftime.

In the third period, quarterback Cody Dyhrkopp connected with Beau Craig on a pair of long touchdown passes. The first a 46-yard strike with 8:01 to go in the third and the second a 66-yard bomb with 56 seconds remaining in the period.

Skattebo closed out the scoring for G/T, taking the hand off and running 45-yards for his third touchdown of the night with 8:29 to go in the game.

West Bend-Mallard was not to be shut out, however, as the Wolverines scored on a 18-yard pass with 2:32 left in the game, making the final score 48-8.

Skattebo carried the rock 16 times for 108 yards and three touchdowns.

Howard added 89 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns.

Dyhrkopp was 3-of-4 for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Beau Craig had 112 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Knights.

Defensively, Ty Bisineus recovered a WB-M fumble for G/T.

Graettinger/Terril (6-1, 4-1) returns to action Friday in Ruthven.
