Tonderum sets meet records
BUFFALO CENTER – The Armstrong-Ringsted Boys Track team came up with six first-place finishes on the way to taking second overall at the Bison Relays on Tuesday.
A-R finished with 71 points behind Central Springs who had 92.
The four-team meet saw host North Iowa finish third with 67 and Martin County West finished fourth with 33 points.
Tyler Tonderum garnered two individual first-place finishes winning the 100-meter dash in 10.79 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 22.29 seconds. Both times set meet records.
The only Mustang relay to finish first was the 4×200-meter team of Tyler Feddersen, Spencer Clausen, Hantelman and tonderum with their time of 1:34.12.
Hantelman won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 8 inches with Craig Tigges winning the discus with a throw of 132 feet, 10 inches. Ethan Eisenbacher added a top finish in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15 52. seconds.
Eisenbacher added a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.86.
Hantelman finished second in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 5 inches while Bryson Rezac was third with a toss of 40 feet, 5 1/2 inches.
The Mustang shuttle hurdle relay team of Dylan Moore, Evan Hagebock and Nick Larsen and Eisenbacher placed second in 1:07.52
Also second was the 4×400-meter relay team of Tonderum, Tigges, Tyler Feddersen and Hantelman in 3:31.85.
Tigges added a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash in 54.46 seconds and was fifth in the 1600-meter run in 5:14.68.
The Mustangs were third in the 4×100-meter relay with Feddersen, Rezac, Dakota Odermann and Eisenbacher in 49.23 seconds.
Feddersen finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 5 inches and also was fifth in the 100-meter dash in 11.69 seconds.
Chris Burt finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.76
Brett Thackery finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 75 feet, 8 inches.
