Mustangs place fourth at Bison Relays
BUFFALO CENTER – The Armstrong-Ringsted girls track team placed fourth at the Bison Relays on Tuesday, scoring 40 total ponits in the meet.
“The girls ran well,” said A-R coach Steve Waldstein. “The distance medley had a season best and many personal bests were set. Bri Gonzales and Paige Taylor ran personal bests in the distance medley.”
North Iowa won with 165.
They were followed by Martin County West with 99 and Ventura wth 50.
The Mustangs had four second place and three third place finishes on the night.
Harley Lindell placed second in the shot put with a throw of 29 feet, 5 inches. She also placed third in the discus with a throw of 74 feet, 7 inches.
Paige Taylor took second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2 minutes, 42.37 seconds.
The sprint medley team of Krista Pelzer, Crystal Bush, Brianne Gonzales and Jasmine Clausen took second in a time of 2:05.86 and the distance medley team of Pelzer, Clausen, Gonzales and Taylor took second in a time of 2:42.37.
The 4×800-meter relay team of Allie Buum, Tess Christiansen, Adreana Laabs and Shelby Luke took third in a time of 14:08.88.
The 4×100-meter relay team of Pelzer, Bush, Clausen and Gonzales took third in 57.5 seconds. and the 4×400-meter relay team of Taylor, Lindell, Buum and Luke took fourth in 5:07.9.
