ELC seventh grade boys place second

EMMETSBURG – The Estherville Lincoln Central seventh grade boys track team placed second out of four teams at Emmetsburg on Monday.

Spencer won the meet with a total of 111 points.

They were follwed by ELC with 65, Spirit Lake 39 and Emmetsburg 38.

The Midgets had five first and four second place finishes on the night.

Trevor Curry won the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 8 inches and took third in the discus.

Rod Fuller placed first in the mile run with a time of 5 minutes, 22 seconds and took second in the 800-meter run in 2:24.

Jon Williams placed first in the 200-meter hurdles in 32.37 seconds and the distance medley team of Michael McCauley, Carsten Bosch, Avery Hansen and Fuller took first in a time of 4:22.

The shuttle hurdle relay team of Williams, McCauley, Hansen and Justin Heinrichs took first in 53.25 seconds.

Heinrichs also placed second in the 400-meter dash in 1:03 and placed fifth in the 200-meter dash in 28.03 seconds.

The 4×100-meter relay team of Curry, Logan Dalen, Noah Diekmann and Dylan Kloehn placed second in 1:03 and the 800-meter medley relay of Chase Bonner, Diekmann, Bosch and Boston Miner took second in 2:09.

Placing third for ELC was Bonner in the shot put, Williams in the seventh flight hurdles, the 4×400-meter relay team of Miner, Austin Egeland, Zach Roach and Zach Humble and the 4×200-meter relay team of Bonner, Bosch, Humble and Diekmann.

Humble also placed fourth in the high jump and Miner placed fifth in the 100-meter dash.
