DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Macy Milburn has wrapped up play at the NJCAA Division II Women’s Golf Tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Milburn’s play matched her round of 94 on Wednesday, giving her a three-day total of 289 and placing her 81st overall.

She’ll board a plane Friday morning to head home and took a moment to reflect back on the past five days.

“It was definitely an opportunity of a lifetime because there were tons of (players) there from all over the country and it was really great to see them and make new friends,” Milburn said Thursday afternoon. “The course is hard, but it was still really fun and challenging.”

She’d glad she had this experience.

“I’m really, really happy I went and I was lucky just to be able to go,” Milburn said.

After this experience, she’d like to return again next year with her fellow Laker team members.

“It’d be great to have our whole team here next year,” Milburn said.

On the final day, Milburn teed off at 8 a.m. She was lucky she did.

“It was crazy hot today, but I got to golf in the morning,” she said
