G/T crushes Wolves in season finale

LAKE PARK – With a 10-3 victory over Harris-Lake Park on Wednesday, the Graettinger/Terril-Ruthven-Ayshire Knights finished the regular season with a 11-9 overall record.

The Knights dominated the Wolves from start to finish and end the regular season on a three-game win streak.

Mark Geelan picked up the win for the Knights, shutting out the Wolves for 3 2/3 innings. Geelan allowed just two hits and struck out two batters on the night.

Mitch Girres relieved Geeland and went 1 2/3 inning before Trevin Enderson finished the game for the Knights.

Taylor Harris led G/T at the plate, going 2-3 with two triples and two RBI.

Geelan was 1-2 and Cody Dyhrkopp was 1-4 with an RBI.

Jeremiah Andrews, Beau Craig, Blaze Alesch and Enderson each had an RBI as well.

The Knights have a bye in the first round of the Class 1A Regional Tournamnet and will face the winner of Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn and Clay Central-Everly on Thursday, July 15, in Everly.
