NSK, A-R join forces for first time

MANKATO, Minn. – North Sentral Kossuth and Armstrong-Ringsted shared athletics for the first time this past week as the girls and boys track teams ran at an indoor meet in Mankato on Saturday.

Other teams competing include Okoboji, Algona and Spencer. No team scores were kept, but here are some of the top finishes for NSK/AR.

“It was a new meet for the A-R kids and I think they enjoyed the indoor meet,” said boys coach Robert Zotz. “The A-R/NSK sharing is going great.”

Boys’ results

Travis Hantelman earned two top finishes as he won the 400-meter dash in 53.25 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 24.20 seconds.

Tyler Feddersen took first in the 60-meter dash in 7.48 seconds and also finished third in the 200-meter dash in 24.91 seconds.

Placing second was the shuttle hurdle relay team of Dylan Moore, Zach Ditsworth, Aric Runge and Lucas Hardman in 27.23 seconds.

Joey Stauffer took third in the 800-meter dash in 2:34.52.

Hantelman took third in the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 5 inches while Bryce Rezac was fourth with a throw of 38 feet, 7 inches.

The 4×800-meter relay team of Stauffer, Jake Adams, Matt Adams and Brian Becker placed fourth in 9:27.11. The 4×200-meter relay team of Nick Larsen, Ditsworth, Jacob Clark and Ty Anderson took fourth in 1:52.01. Also fourth was the 4×400-meter relay team of Christopher Burt, Evan Hagebock, Jake Adams and Matt Adams in 3:53.92.

Dylan Moore placed fourth in the 60-meter high hurdles in 9.86 seconds.

Placing fifth was Brian Becker in the 1600-meer run in 5:38.15 and Austin Bierstedt in the 60-meter high hurdles in 9.96 seconds.

Girls’ results

Abbie Ingalls won two events for NSK/AR with a time of 8.74 seconds in the 60-meter dash and 9.98 seconds in the 60-meter low hurdles.

The shuttle hurdle team also took first in 42.72 seconds.

The distance medley team placed second in 4:57.47.

Rebecca Boyer finished third in the 60-meter dash in 9:13 and Jasmine Clausen was third in the 400-meter dash in 1:12.48. Taylor Mathine was third in the 60-meter dash in 9.4 seconds.

Also third was the 4×400-meter relay team in 4:37.8.

Placing fourth were Genna Valvick in the 200-meter dash in 30.56 seconds and Lexy Johnson in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet, 8 inches. The sprint medley team also placed fourth in 2:14.40.

Hanna Gardner placed fifth in teh400-meter dash in 1:14.74. Paige Taylor placed fifth in the 1500-meter run in 6:04.09.

Also fifth were Harley Lindell in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet, 4 inches and Valvick in the long jump with a leap of 13 feet, 3 inches.

The 200-meter shuttle hurdle relay team also placed fifth in 31.69 seconds.
