“I was very pleased with Gable Bonner’s first place-that was a personal record for him,” said Barrett. “Miguel ran 3 1/2 miles of competitive running and had an outstanding time of 2:04 in the 800.”

ELC’s 4×800-meter relay team of Alex Bloomquist, Tyler Swanson, Lee Bates and Joe Clayton took second in 8:57.89. Also second was the medley relay of Ty Wilson, Marcus Christensen, Ryan Vos and Bloomquist in 3:54.68.

Also fifth was the freshmen shuttle hurdle team of Blake Gjerde, Oscar Ramirez, Anthony Segura and Alec Wycoff in 72.63 seconds.

In the discus, Zach Wycoff placed fifth with a throw of 119 feet, 7 inches while Brennen Nyren was sixth with a throw of 119 feet, 3 inches.

Vos finished sixth in the 400-meter dash in 55.64 seconds.

“Alex Bloomquist had a nice meet, running two good 800s and a 400 in three relays,” said Barrett.

ELC is scheduled to host the 90th running of the Estherville Relays on Friday. Weather may delay the meet.
