ELC plays at Spencer Invite

SPENCER – The Estherville Lincoln Central Boys Golf Team finished fifth at the Spencer Invitational on Monday.

Spencer won its meet led by medalist Jay Monahan’s 71. The Tigers shot a team score of 307 followed by Creston with 319, LeMars with 336, Cherokee with 346, Cherokee with 346, ELC with 349 and the Spencer Junior Varsity with 394.

Max Brashear led ELC with an 83, which tied him for 11th overall.

Tucker Milburn finished with an 84 while Logan Spoo shot a 90 and Corey reeves a 92.

Non-counting scores were a 95 from Adam Reiter and a 100 from Justin Harris.

ELC?is scheduled to host Spirit Lake today.

NSKAR 177,

North Iowa 181

The North Sentral Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringsted Boys Golf Team defeated North Iowa 177 to 181 on Monday.

North Iowa’s Eric Krull earned medalist honors with a 36 while NSKAR’s Sawyer Doocy shot a 40 to earn runner-up medalist.

Rounding out NSKAR scores were Zck Hurburt with a 42, Keith Mathine with a 47 and a choice of 48s from Cody Runksmeier and Shane Mills. The other non-counting score was a 51- from Heath Bernhard. NSKAR (5-3 overall, 4-2 in the Cornbelt) is scheduled to host West Bend-Mallard today in Armstrong.
