NSKAR takes sixth at Okoboji Relays
MILFORD – The North Sentral Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringsted Boys Track Team placed sixth at the Okoboji Relays on Monday.
The Mustangs finished with 44 points while Spirit Lake Park won the meet with 124 points.
“It was wet and cold all night, but our team fought through the elements,” said NSKAR coach Robert Zotz. “We ran some good times considering the weather and the amount of time we have not been able to run outside.”
Travis Hantelman helped the team to three second-place finishes. He leaped 6 feet, 2 inches in the high jump and ran the 400-meter dash in 50.94 seconds. He also anchored the 4×100-meter relay team of Jacob Braddock, Tyler Feddersen and Spencer Clausen which finished in 46.57 seconds.
Feddersen finished third in the 100-meter dash in 11.39 seconds. Also third was the 4×800-meter relay team of Evan Hagebock, Joey Stauffer, Matt Adams and Jake Adams with their time of 9:06.77.
Bryson Rezac finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 2 1/2 inches.
Jake Adams placed fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:12.71.
The 4×200-meter relay team of Jerry Clark, Clausen, Matt Adams and Jake Adams placed sixth in 1:43.34. Also sixth was the distance medley team of Jake Clark, Zach Ditworth, Jerry Clark and Hagebock in 4:21.75.
