Spirit Lake 178, Spencer 194, Sheldon 221

SPENCER – Spirit Lake won for the second night in a row as the Indians shot a 178 at Spencer.

Maureen Owens and Leah Hilpipre both shot a 40 for the low score of the night. Owens took top medalist honors on handicap holes to take the top medalist honors as Hilpipre was runner-up. Other counting scores were a 43 by Whitney Berkland and a 55 by Lindsay Hamilton.

Non-counting scores were a pair of 61s by Emily Ayres and Amanda Williams. Spirit Lake is home Monday with Western Christian and Cherokee.

H-LP 178, NSKAR 198

LAKE PARK – The North Sentral Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringsted boys’ golf team struggled on a windy night in Lake Park. Host Harris-lake Park pulled out the win led by medalist Nathan Kyle with a 41 and runner-up medalist Austin Jacobson with a 42.

Sawyer Doocy led NSKAR with a 45 while Keith Mathine and Alex Deitering each shot a 0 and Keith Bernhard shot a 53. Non-counting score was a 53 by Keith Bernhard. NSKAR (6-4 overall, 5-3 conference) travels to Graettinger for the Cornbelt Conference meet on Monday.

Emmetsburg 168, WB-M 191, GTRA 196

GRAETTINGER – The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Boys golf team didn’t do well in the wind despite golfing on the home course in Friday’s Palo Alto County Meet. Emmetsburg’s Ben McCain earned medalist honors with a 38. The E’Hawks Mike Pugh and Art Heidt along with Greg Mader of West Bend-Mallard all shot 42s to share runner-up honors.

Tanner Naig led GTRA with a 44 while Blaze Alesch shot a 49, Zach Harris had a 51 and Dylan Fischer had a 52. Non-counting scores were a 55 by Ty Gibson and a 69 from Ethan Petersen. GTRA hosts the Cornbelt Conference meet on Monday.
