SPIRIT?LAKE – The Spirit Lake won the regular season Lakes Conference title with a sweep over Western Christian and Cherokee on Monday.

Maureen Owens medaled with a 39 to lead the Indians, who are 7-0 in league play.

Emily Ayres earned runner-up medalist with a 44. Rounding out the scoring were Whitney Berkland with a 47 and Leah Hilpipre with a 48.

Non-counting scores were a 56 by Lindsay Hamilton and a 58 by Mackenzie Veldman.

Spirit Lake travels to the Sibley Tournament today.

GT/RA plays at Okoboji Invite

GRAETTINGER – The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Boys Golf Team was in action on Saturday at the Okoboji Invitational at Emerald Hills.

Emmetsburg won with a 337, Sibley-Ocheyedan shot 347, Okoboji shot a 352, Boyden-Hull shot a 362, Harris-Lake Park shot a 365, Okoboji B Team shot a 390, GT/Ra shot 423 and Clay Central-Everly shot 441.

Ty Gibson led GT/RA with a 101 while Tanner Naig shot 103, Blaze Alesch had a 108 and Zach Harris had a 111. Non-counting score was Dylan Fischer with a 115

Weeks takes second at invite

STORM LAKE – Matt Weeks took second on the tiebreaker with a 77 at the Storm Lake Golf Invitational on Saturday. The Indians shot a 350 for the day and finished fifth overall. Carroll Kuemper won with 310 followed by Spencer with 326, Storm Lake with 356 and Carroll with 349. Rounding out Spirit Lake’s scores were Corey Potter with an 89, Scott Hummel with a 92 and Zach Skopec with a 92. Non-counting score was Mark Heaton with a 92 and Tark Thomas with a 103.
