FORT?DODGE – The Iowa Lakes Men’s Golf team was in action for the final round of the Region XI Golf Tournament in Fort Dodge on Monday.

After being in fourth place after day one and 11 shots out of the lead, the Lakers posted the daily low of 320 on day two.

That moved up them to second place for the tournament, 10 shots behind Regional Champion NIACC.

Sophomores Scott Kremer and Nathan Spoo led the Lakers. Kremer shot a 162 while Spoo shot a 163 in the two-day event. Ryan Stevens shot a 165 while Adam Oster shot a 168.

Non-counting score was Josh Ellanson’s 172.

The Lakers finish the season with a 66-43 match record-the most wins in school history in a season.

“I’m proud of the way the men battled all year, the men went from fourth to second for the tournament and fought back strong,” said Laker coach Andy Soper. “The four sophomores of Scott Kremer, Nathan Spoo, Adam Oster, and Davis Jacobson have been great to have around and they will be successful with their lives. I wish them nothing but the best-they will be missed.”
