Depth helps NSKAR finish second in Cornbelt

ARMSTRONG – The North Sentral Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringsted Boys Track Team managed just two first-place finishes at the Cornbelt Conference meet Monday. However NSKAR had two place winners in 10 events to help the team finish solidly in second place overall.

Clay Central-Everly won with 190 points followed by NSKAR with 149, West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley with 100, Corwith-Wesley-Luverne with 45, Ruthven-Ayrshire/Graettinger-Terril with 37 and Ventura with 25.

Travis Hantelman won the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.57 seconds. NSKAR’s 4×800-meter relay team of Brian Becker, Evan Hagebock, Matt Adams and Jake Adams won in 8:52.42.

NSKAR had two place winners in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, 110-meter hurdles, 3200-meter run, the discus, the high jump, the long jump and the shot put.
