NSKAR takes second in Cornbelt

ARMSTRONG – In their first meet together, the girls from North Sentral Kossuth and Armstrong-Ringsted made a good run at the Cornbelt Conference Title.

But West Bend-Mallard Twin River Valley was just a little better on this day as they finished with 189 points to 174 for NSKAR. Ventura finished third with 93 points followed by Clay Central-Everly with 63, Ruthven-Ayrshire/Graettinger-Terril had 28 and Corwith-Wesley-Luverne had 10.

While NSKAR had five first place finishes and 11 events with two place winners, WBM/TRV had eight first place finishes.

NSKAR’s Allie Ingalls won two events, the 100-meter hurdles in 16.89 seconds and the 400-meter hurdles in 1:11.72. Tori Johnson won the 400-meter dash in 1:05.33 and anchored both the winning sprint medley and 4×400-meter relay.

The sprint medley team of Abby Ingalls, Rebecca Boyer, Cierra Brandt and Johnson won in 2:02.44. The 4×400 team of Sara Johnson, Genna Valvick, Brandt and Tori Johnson won in 2:02.44.
