NSKAR wins Cornbelt

WEST BEND – The first year of merging North Sentral Kossuth and Armstrong-Ringsted girls’ golfers proved a successful venture as NSKAR won the Cornbelt Conference meet on Monday.

NSKAR shot a 449, five strokes better than second-place Harris-Lake Park.

NSKAR’s top five golfers made one of the all-conference teams.

Stormie Johanson led the way with a 107 while Brittney Evans shot a 109 to earn first team honors. Brooke Baxter finished seventh overall with a 112 and earned second team honors. Marissa Crookshank’s 121 completed the team scoring. She and marissa Doocy, who shot a 125, both earned third-team all-conference. Jalissa Irmiter shot a 140 as NSKAR’s other non-counting score.

Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire finished fourth overall with a 483.

Kyla Dyer earned first team all-conference with a 106. Kelly Harris made the second team with a 114.

Other counting scores were a 130 by Kendra Feldman and a 139 by Mackenzie Fay.
