SLO boys edge past Tigers
SPENCER – Spirit Lake-Okoboji ended up on the right side of the close matches in defeating Spencer 5-4 on Thursday.
“We had a few meets already that didn’t go our way when a few points here and there didn’t go our way,” said SLO coach Dan Taylor. “But tonight we were able to win all four of the match
tiebreaks we played. I wouldn’t say it is all luck or fortune, however – not in the least. In fact we worked on tiebreakers the day before this meet in practice, knowing that they come into play frequently in our two-of-three sets format. And the guys played extremely well, as they have all week.”
