Radtke resigns from Iowa Lakes
The head women’s basketball coach at Iowa Lakes, Brian Radtke, has decided it is time to give someone else the opportunity to lead the Lakers.
Radtke officially notified the college of his resignation on Monday. He, along with athletic director Troy Larson, were in contact with student-athletes Monday afternoon to inform them of the decision.
Leaving Iowa Lakes wasn’t an easy decision for Radtke.
“I want to thank Iowa Lakes and all the personnel that I have had the pleasure of working with over my 12 years here,” said Radtke. “I also want to thank Iowa Lakes for the opportunity to coach along with the community for all their support and involvement during my time in Estherville.”
Radtke had an impact on countless student-athletes during his 12 year campaign. His overall record was an impressive 218-146. He coached three All-Americans and numerous All-Region players. Radtke also served as advisor for student senate while at Iowa Lakes.
“I am leaving to pursue new opportunities and am looking forward to achieving new goals in life,” Radtke added. “I want to let the people of Iowa Lakes know how much I appreciate what they have done for me. I will treasure my time at Iowa Lakes Community College and will miss it a lot,” Radtke said.
Radtke will be missed.
“We appreciate all of Brian’s efforts over the last 12 years at Iowa Lakes,” commented Larson. “He has had very competitive teams and recruited good student athletes. I wish him well as he progresses to the next step in his professional career. He will be missed at Iowa Lakes.”
A search for Radtke’s replacement will begin immediately.?
