STORM LAKE – The Estherville Lincoln Central girls returned to Storm Lake for the Buena Vista High School Elite Indoor Meet after competing at that venue just three days earlier.

ELC assistant coach Robert Bosma said times improved for most of the team members.

“A lot of girls set goals and met them,” he said. “We had a good meet overall.”

While ELC only had one placing on the night, several other events showed promise.

Caitlyn Clayton finished third in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, 11 inches.

Bosma also highlighted the distance medley relay team of Briseide Segura, Taylor Greig, Megan Jensen and Brianna Enerson, who stepped up their efforts to finish in 4 minutes, 54 seconds.

He also said the shuttle hurdle relay team of Jensen, Coral Franklin, Greig and Rachel Bates did well in their event as they finished the 4×55-meter event in 45 seconds.

ELC opens the outdoor season at the Emmetsburg Early Bird Meet on Tuesday, April 1.

STORM LAKE – The Estherville Lincoln Central girls saw their first action of the 2014 track and field season at the Lakes Conference Indoor Meet on Tuesday.
