GTRA scores at Estherville
Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire faced stiff competition for the small squad at the Estherville Relays on Thursday.
The Titans finished with two team points as Marcus Girres placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in 55.92 seconds and the distance medley placed sixth in 4:54.93.
“The competition was very good and we learned how far we have to go with our program,” said GTRA coach David Peterson. “With the cold temperatures we didn’t get ourselves ready to run and I think we may have been somewhat intimidated by our competition. We did have a few decent times but this was definitely not a performance we want to repeat.”
GT/RA is at the North Union meet in Armstrong on Monday.
