RUTHVEN – Tied at 1-1 through three innings, a couple of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire errors opened the gates for visiting Emmetsburg on Friday.

The E’Hawks plated three runs in the top of the fourth and scored five runs over the next two innings on the way to a 9-1 victory.

The Titans finished with five hits on the night-just half of Emmetsburg’s 10.

Taylor Park took the loss on the mound for GT/RA as she struck out one batter and walked three. Six of the E’Hawk runs were earned. Hali Noll picked up the win for the E’Hawks as she struck out eight Titans and walked one.

For GT/RA, Brooke Hoffman, Daisy Jordan, Sara Harris, Morgan McGrauth and Lauren Flaharty each were 1-3 at the plate.

GT/RA (6-13 overall) is scheduled to travel to the Okoboji Tournament today with home games in Ruthven against West Bend-Mallard on Monday and Sioux Central on Tuesday.
