North Union looking for more success
ARMSTRONG – Having found success the past two weeks, North Union will be looking for a third straight win as the Warriors travel to Paullina to face South O’Brien on Friday.
Senior Trent Pedersen has been one of the keys after combining to rush for 223 yards and four touchdowns in the two wins.
His play gives the Warriors another option on offense. Isaac Engeman has 492 yards and six touchdowns on 134 carries while Derek Thompson has 427 yards and three touchdowns on 127 carries.
South O’Brien (4-3 overall, 4-1 in district play) is vying for a playoff spot if the Wolverines can win their final two district games.
Sam Nelson leads the Wolverine offense with 1,077 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 239 carries. Drew Faust has 243 yards and five touchdowns on 67 carries.
Like North Union, South O’Brien isn’t looking to pass much. Quarterback Carson Louscher is 22-of-52 passing for 241 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.
North Union’s Elliott Hagebock is 24-of-54 for 223 yards with six interceptions and no touchdowns.
